About the Role
The Azure Cloud Infrastructure Management Specialist is responsible for managing, configuring, and maintaining both the company's internal IT infrastructure and customers' hosted environments in the Microsoft Azure cloud. This role involves infrastructure architecture, cloud environment stabilization, and ensuring security, availability, and scalability. The specialist will also engage in client relationship management and stay updated on technological developments in infrastructure and security.
Salary
$90,000 to $110,000 CAD annually, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, implement, and stabilize Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
- Develop infrastructure architecture to ensure software products are secure, highly available, and optimized for Azure deployment.
- Respond to requests for infrastructure sizing, technical analysis, and migration or optimization designs for Azure-hosted systems.
- Design, implement, and support Azure core services, including servers, storage, networking, and security.
- Implement service automation within the Azure cloud environment.
- Monitor server and system availability, performance, and capacity in the Azure environment.
- Ensure infrastructure components meet performance and security standards.
- Design and execute proof of concepts for servers, storage, networking, and security.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues using expertise and collaboration with leadership.
- Manage relationships with Microsoft, ensuring strong business and technical interactions.
- Stay current with industry standards and emerging technologies, providing recommendations and expertise to internal teams and clients.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for internal and client-facing purposes.
Requirements
- Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in Computer Science or equivalent (required); a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, IT Management, or a related field is an asset.
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud environments, including IaaS/PaaS/SaaS platforms and Azure service offerings.
- Advanced proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and related administrative tools.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, LAN/WLAN/WAN networks, and services like DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP.
- Familiarity with IT service management processes and ERP systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
- Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including curiosity, proactivity, adaptability, and a passion for new technologies.
- Ability to manage priorities, deliver reliable results, and provide clear solutions for complex technical contexts.
