Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Consultant
Posted: September 11, 2026
Location: Montréal or Toronto
Department: Consultants
Reports to: Consulting Manager
Open to individuals legally authorized to work in Canada without visa sponsorship.
Position Summary
This role is ideal for someone with strong, hands-on expertise in asset management and maintenance (EAM/CMMS) who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys solving complex business challenges related to equipment reliability, uptime, and maintenance optimization.
Reporting to the Consulting Manager, this client-facing consulting role focuses on delivering end-to-end Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions with The Asset Guardian (TAG). You'll act as a trusted advisor to clients, drawing on your maintenance and asset management expertise (asset structuring, preventive and predictive maintenance planning, work order management, spare parts management, and equipment lifecycle management) to guide them through discovery, design, implementation, and post-go-live support.
That expertise may have been built on TAG, Business Central, or any other recognized EAM/CMMS platform (SAP PM, IBM Maximo, Infor EAM, IFS, eMaint, UpKeep, etc.): what matters most is your command of the processes, workflows, and best practices of the asset management and maintenance domain.
Key Responsibilities
Client Consulting & Solution Design
Lead discovery sessions to understand client maintenance processes, asset management strategies, pain points, and goals
Assess the maturity of client maintenance practices (preventive, predictive, corrective) and recommend improvements
Translate business requirements into tailored TAG solutions, grounded in industry-recognized EAM best practices
Develop functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams on solution architecture
Implementation & Delivery
Manage full-cycle implementations, including configuration, testing, training, and support — covering asset hierarchies, work order management, preventive maintenance plans, and spare parts inventory
Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with client reliability and uptime objectives
Provide post-implementation consulting and optimization services, including analysis of maintenance KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance, etc.)
Pre-Sales & Advisory
Support pre-sales efforts by participating in demos, scoping sessions, and proposal development
Advise clients on maintenance and asset management best practices, EAM market trends, and migration strategies from other CMMS/EAM systems
Collaboration & Support
Work closely with developers, project managers, and other consultants to ensure successful project delivery
Troubleshoot issues and provide expert guidance, both on maintenance functionality and technical implementation
Requirements
2 to 5 years of consulting or operational experience in asset management and maintenance (EAM/CMMS), including full-cycle implementations
Solid understanding of maintenance management concepts: preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, asset lifecycle management, spare parts management, work order planning and scheduling, equipment reliability
Hands-on experience with at least one recognized EAM/CMMS platform (TAG, Business Central, SAP PM, IBM Maximo, Infor EAM, IFS, eMaint, UpKeep, Fiix, or equivalent) — multi-platform experience is a strong asset
Proven ability to lead client engagements and deliver tailored solutions
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging executive stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or other Microsoft technologies (Power BI, SQL Server, SharePoint) is a plus
Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements
Compensation: Annual salary ranges from $90,000 to $130,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
