Senior Functional Business Central Consultant

Position Summary
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on consulting experience in Business Central who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys solving complex business challenges with technology.
Reporting to the Consulting Manager, this is a client-facing consulting role focused on delivering end-to-end Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to clients, leveraging your deep product knowledge and consulting experience to guide them through discovery, design, implementation, and post-go-live support.
Key Responsibilities
Lead discovery sessions to understand client business processes, pain points, and goals
Translate business requirements into tailored Business Central solutions
Develop functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams on solution architecture
Manage full-cycle Business Central implementations, including configuration, testing, training, and support
Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with client objectives
Provide post-implementation consulting and optimization services
Support pre-sales efforts by participating in demos, scoping sessions, and proposal development
Advise clients on best practices, industry trends, and Business Central capabilities
Work closely with developers, project managers, and other consultants to ensure successful project delivery
Troubleshoot issues and provide expert guidance on Business Central functionality
Occasional travel around Canada and the United States
Qualifications
5+ years of consulting experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or NAV), including full-cycle implementations
Proven ability to lead client engagements and deliver tailored solutions
Strong understanding of Business Central modules such as Finance, Manufacturing, and Warehouse Management
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging executive stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Proficiency in Microsoft technologies (e.g., Power BI, SQL Server, SharePoint) is a plus
Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements
Salary & Benefits
The total compensation for this role is $90,000 to $130,000, depending on years of comparable experience, skill set, and the unique value you bring.
